BMW 1-Series Performance Accessories Concept at Frankfurt 2011
It’s only been a few months since BMW revealed the 2012 1-Series and already they’re working on adding a sensible dose of ‘M’ goodness to the new compact, with the BMW 1-Series Performance Accessories Concept heading to Frankfurt to show off their efforts. The concept gets a set of chunky 19″ alloys, uprated suspension and brakes, an integrated rear diffuser and titivated exhaust tips.. There’s also an extensive body kit, carbon fibre door mirrors and a thumping great stripe right up the middle.
Peugeot's all-new 208, which will replace the 207 in the Spring of next year, is an important car for the French firm. With a more dynamic design than its forebear, the new 208 is both lighter and smaller than its predecessor, aiming to embody ‘the principles of agility and efficiency', Peugeot claims. The first Automotive Interiors Expo, an event that was part of no less than five automotive trade exhibitions gathered together at the Stuttgart Messe, took place in southern Germany from the 22 to 24 of June. The exhibitions, comprising European Automotive Components Expo, Automotive Testing Expo, Vehicle Dynamics Expo and Engine Expo, showcased the latest technologies and services from over 500 suppliers to the automotive industry. Grouped in three large halls, the Expo covered conventional powertrains and batteries right through to vehicle electrical systems and crash testing, but it also featured a panel of experts discussing the color, feel and shape of material design, synergies and design challenges; safety, lighting and HMI's; and interior component design as a means of achieving sustainable and lightweight vehicles.
